The entry visa and the custom regulation An entry visa to the Republic of Moldova can be obtained in the diplomatic representations of Moldova. In countries where these are missing, visas are issued at the frontier points by the consular offices. The consular offices function at the following frontier points: Chisinau International Airport, Criuleni, Cahul, Leuseni. The price of the visa depends on its type. Tourist or business visas with a single entrance in the country vary from 40 to 60 USD. Visas with multiple entries for 2 to 12 months cost from 105 to 200 USD. According to the Budget Legislation, the following goods and objects of personal use are not charged with customs taxes and AVT when crossing the custom of Moldova:
This list is established per 1 person. It is also permitted for each person to import or export, without paying custom fees, cosmetics and perfumery articles, personal hygiene items and medicines for personal use only. The import of foreign currency into the Republic of Moldova is not limited. The non residents of Moldova are allowed to import/export banknotes, coins and travaler's cheques not exceeding the amount of 2500 Moldavian lei (192,3 USD). Moreover, they have the right to export country banknotes, coins and travaler's cheques in foreign currency in accordance with the indicated sum in the custom declaration. The custom declaration, issued by an authorized bank or by the National Bank of Moldova, certifies the import of the foreign currency into the country or the permission to export it. The residents and the non residents of Moldova have the right to export banknotes, coins and travaler's cheques in foreign currency not exceeding the amount of 50 000 USD (or its equivalent). The amounts exceeding 50 000 USD should be exported through bank transfer. |
