Carnet de Touriste

The Carnet de Touriste is a new and exceptional possibility for Moldavian citizens to travel without invitation in the states part of the Schengen treaty and Switzerland.

Only Auto Club of Moldova can issue a Carnet de Touriste. This document allows you to apply to the German Embassy in Chisinau and to the Embassy of Switzerland in Kiev for a visa without showing the invitation and the health insurance.

Carnet de Touriste is issued for a period of 15 days, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months.

Owning this document you will be able to travel with the whole family and benefit of substantial reductions at its purchase.

In order to own a Carnet de Touriste you should come in person to the Club, show your passport and fill in the necessary inquiries. The whole information will be at your disposal and all the services are going to be offered at a useful time and a suitable level.

Would you like to travel abroad by car?

To make the journey more enjoyable you can purchase at Auto Club of Moldova the International Driving Permit. Possessing this licence it won't be necessary to translate your national licence in different languages anymore. The International Driving Permit is already translated in 5 foreign languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Russian.

Relying on the requirements of the International Convention of the Road Traffic from 1968, ACM has the exclusive right to issue to Moldavian citizens international driving permits.

To get in the possession of the licence, present at club offices the following documents:

• The national driving licence;
  
• A 3,5 x 4,5 colour photo;
  
• The licence will be ready in a working day.

Insurance policies

Relying to the current lows concerning obligatory insurance of civil responsibility in the Eastern and Central European country, Auto Club of Moldova offers you different types of insurance:

1. The obligatory insurance of civil responsibility for Moldova

2. The obligatory insurance of civil responsibility for Ukraine

3. Health insurance for all European countries

4. Green Cards:

• All countries which signed the Green Card agreement
• Only for Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria
• Only for Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary
• All Club members get a discount of 10% for the insurance.

To get in the possession of any car insurance, you have to show the technical passport of the car and decide on the insurance validity term.

Technical roadside assistance

Only the members of Auto Club of Moldova can benefit of proposed road technical assistance for free. The service is available 24 hours a day. Just call us at: 0 6 91 43 724 or 0 6 92 11 467 indicate the exact place of the breakdown and in a short time you will get our assistance!

The list of works of the emergency technical assistance on site includes:

- Starting of an engine from an external energy source;

- Starting of an engine by flexible connection towage;

- The replacement of damaged wheel by the spare one;

- Delivery of a wheel for repair to the nearest tire repair shop;

- Provision of communication facilities for emergency calls up to 3 minutes;

- Replacement of fuses;

- Replacement of bulbs;

- The help in purchasing, delivery and refueling of petroleum products and exploitation liquids necessary for setting of a vehicle in working condition;

- Determination and whenever possible elimination of malfunction in electric and mechanical systems of the automobile;

- Deblocking of door locks, disconnection of alarm systems and doors opening in case of keys loss and at the owner’s presence;

Cost of rendering of the technical assistance at site.

The technical assistance is equipped with the necessary set of the equipment for rendering the technical assistance at site as per the specified list of works.

Cost of the technical assistance calling within the city limits (except for suburbs) makes 30 lei (about 2 Euros).

Cost of works at site is determined at the rate of 120 lei (about 8 euros) per 1 norm hour

Cost of transportation of faulty automobile no more than 10 km, makes 50 lei (about 3 euros).

Cost of spare parts, consumable materials used at car repairs of the customer, is equal to disbursing price.

Evacuation of vehicles .

Evacuation of vehicles includes full loading, transportation and unloading of the automobile

Cost of evacuation of the automobile within the limits of Chisinau except for suburbs makes 150 lei (about 10 euros). At blocking wheels the cost increases up to 200 lei (about 13 euros).

Cost of evacuation out of the city within the limits of the Republic of Moldova is determined at the rate of 3.0 lei (0,2 euros) for each km of run there and back plus 50 lei (about 3 euros) which includes one loading and one unloading.

Each additional loading unloading will cost 20 leis (about 1,3 euro).

Cost of one hour of idle time of the automobile - evacuator through the Customer’s fault makes 120 lei (about 8 euros).

Cost of evacuation abroad the Republic of Moldova increases for the size of payments connected with crossing of frontier points and payment of obligatory fees for traveling on the roads of the adjacent states.

For the members of Auto Club of Moldova - 30 %.

For corporate clients - 30–50% (at the presence of the corporate contract up to 60 %)

For the stations of technical service each 10th evacuation is free-of-charge (within the limits of city)

Transportation of passengers is carried out either on the territory of the Republic of Moldova or abroad.

The Program "Emergency assistance for road accidents"

The Club members, willing to benefit of this program services should sign a contract and pay in lei an additional fee. All services are offered in collaboration with the security agency "JUSTAR".

The mentioned program includes the following services:

- Emergency call for the city police

- Emergency call for the medical assistance and for the private doctor

- Informing by request your family about the accident

- Informing the personal lawyer about the accident

- Support by a special control team to settle up the necessary documents

- Transportation of the damaged car to the police territory or to the parking.
